Child 44 Review!

It feels like forever since I last gave Liquid Orange and even longer still since I last gave Liquid Orange a book review! So, without further ado, lets discuss Child 44 by Tom Rob Smith.
I first came to know of its existence sometime in mid to late 2007 when Ridley Scott picked up the rights to make the movie when the book hadn't been released yet and wouldn't be until early 2008. Having filed the title away in my memory, I recently recalled it and checked to see if it had been released. It had been.
This is Tom Rob Smith's debut novel as he is only 23 or so years old and fresh out of college. Not sure how on Earth he got so much hype behind this as to get movie rights before the thing was ever released but after reading it, I can see why.
This book is simply awesome. It is about a series of murders that take place during Stalin's Communist Russia and you will absolutely have a hard time putting it down. It reads at an incredibly lightning pace and is easily comparable to DaVinci code with its short chapters that leave you wanting the next.
The book comes in a little under 450 pages but once you start, I guess it takes you no more than a week to pound through. Go out, buy it, love it, lemme know.

BTW: I am a horrible book reviewer. Bottom line, but this book.
